10 Good Reasons To Buy An Asus Eee PC
My Asus Eee is one of the gadgets I’m most happy about having bought. To give you an idea why I’ve put some of the reasons down in a list.
- It’s very cheap. If you think about what you get it’s good value for money.
- It runs a version of Linux that just works. You don’t have to be a Linux expert as it is extremely user friendly and easy to use. There’s nothing to install unless you choose to. The pre-installed software bundle is pretty much what you need. Firefox, Skype, Open Office, a messenger client, PDF reader, Media player etc. What more do you need? If there’s something else you need, just install it then. There are plenty of free alternative programs to choose from.
- It’s extremely easy to use. The user interface is made for kids and is very intuitive. I haven’t felt the need to change it. But if you do, you can.
- It’s small but still has a proper keyboard(although with smaller buttons)
- It is extremely quiet, near totally silent. At normal use you can’t actually hear it at all. If you make it work hard and you are in a silent room you can hear the whisper of a fan. No where near the sound of any other quiet laptop I’ve ever heard.
- It has good connectivity. How about 3 USB-2 ports, MMC/SD card reader, ethernet and Wi-Fi!
- 4GB hard drive, it’s not big but it’s solid state. No moving parts make it less likely to fail when dropped.
- The build quality is very good, all pieces fit well together and it feels quality. I’ve dropped mine a few times(on carpet) without any problems what so ever, not even a scratch.
- Even if it’s small enough to fit in a (big) pocket of a jacket, it’s a real laptop, not a smartphone that needs special software. It’s the real deal.
- The sound from the small speakers is surprisingly good.
